Fiorentina striker Moise Kean has been released from the hospital after undergoing tests following his collapse during a match on Sunday.
The forward from Italy sustained a head injury in his team’s 1-0 loss against Hellas Verona.
Kean continued to play for six minutes following a collision with the knee of defender Pawel Dawidowicz.
The ex-Everton and Juventus striker lost his footing and collapsed to the ground in the 64th minute. Following on-field treatment, he was subsequently transported to the hospital.
Fiorentina has announced that the striker was discharged from a hospital in Verona “during the night” after receiving the results of diagnostic tests.
Fiorentina, currently in sixth place, will face Lecce on 28 February. However, the club has yet to announce Kean’s availability for the match.
This season, the Italian player has emerged as the club’s leading scorer, netting 15 goals in the league.
