Spurs spend £12.5 million to sign Czech goalkeeper Kinsky

Tottenham Hotspur has secured the services of 21-year-old Czech goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague, with the transfer reportedly valued at approximately £12.5 million.

Since suffering a fractured ankle on November 24 during the 4-0 victory against Manchester City, Spurs have been without their first-choice goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario.

Fraser Forster has been filling in for Vicario; however, he was absent during Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Newcastle due to illness, paving the way for a debut by 25-year-old Brandon Austin.

The Spurs have secured victory in just two of their last eleven matches, placing them in 12th position in the Premier League standings.

Kinsky has finalized an agreement that extends until 2031, pending the approval of international clearance and a work permit.

Having transferred from Dukla Prague in 2021, he initially spent a period on loan before securing his position at Slavia.

This season, the Under-21 player from the Czech Republic has featured in 29 matches for Slavia, achieving an impressive record of 14 clean sheets.
