Liton Das delivered a stunning performance, smashing an unbeaten 54 off just 29 balls. This marks his 13th T20 fifty, tying him with Shakib Al Hasan for the most fifties by a Bangladeshi batter in this format, as he spearheaded the team’s efforts.

After a four-year hiatus from the national team, Saif Hasan made a spectacular comeback, showcasing his skills with both bat and ball. He delivered an impressive bowling performance, taking two wickets for 18 runs, and then showcased his batting skills with a quickfire 36 not out off just 19 balls, supporting Liton Das in a crucial partnership.

In a thrilling finale, he launched consecutive sixes, sealing the match with a spectacular finish that will be remembered for ages.

Liton and Saif showcased their prowess with a remarkable partnership, amassing 46 runs off just 26 balls for an unbroken third-wicket stand. Their stellar performance propelled the team to victory, securing a 1-0 lead in the series.

Opener Parvez Hossain Emon set the tone early, smashing 15 runs in the first over, propelling Bangladesh to a confident start in their chase. In a disappointing turn of events, he was sent packing in the third over, failing to add to his score of 15.

Tanzid Hasan Tamim, sharing the crease with his fellow opener, made a solid contribution of 29 runs, forging a crucial 66-run partnership with Liton for the second wicket. Mustafizur Rahman may have claimed only one wicket, but his exceptional control and precision left the Netherlands batters in a bind, as he allowed a mere 19 runs in his four overs.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, the Netherlands launched an impressive innings, spearheaded by opener Max O’Dowd, who took the fight to the Bangladesh bowlers with a bold and aggressive approach.
