Islam does not tolerate terrorism: Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan, a prominent figure in Bollywood, has issued a strong condemnation of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, asserting that the individuals behind the act cannot be regarded as faithful followers of Islam.  During a recent interview with India TV, the actor strongly rejected any links between religion and violence, emphasizing that Islam is fundamentally rooted in peace and humanity.

No faith advocates for the taking of human life.  The actions of these individuals do not align with the core tenets of Islam, which explicitly prohibit the killing of innocent people and the harming of women and children.  Aamir stated, “They are acting in opposition to the principles of the religion.”

In response to inquiries regarding his delayed reaction to the recent attack compared to his peers, Aamir explained that his lack of presence on social media was the reason for the postponement.  I do not engage with social media platforms.  According to him, the reactions were immediate, characterizing the attack as a cowardly act aimed at innocent civilians.

In response to criticism regarding the timing of his remarks, which coincided with the trailer launch of his forthcoming film “Sitaare Zameen Par,” Aamir questioned, “If I speak about our forces delivering a befitting response, am I doing something wrong?”  Should I focus on the film or our forces during that period?

He elaborated that the timing of the trailer release was purely coincidental, noting that the premiere of “Andaz Apna Apna,” a 1994 cult classic that has recently been re-released, was also canceled in light of the national tragedy.

Aamir reflected on the praise he received from veteran actor Manoj Kumar regarding his role in patriotic cinema.  My dedication to my country is evident in my professional endeavors.  View the films ‘Rang De Basanti,’ ‘Lagaan,’ and ‘Sarfarosh.’  He stated, “I don’t believe any other actor has starred in more patriotic films than I have.”
