Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has officially announced his cameo role in “Coolie”, the much-anticipated film featuring Rajinikanth and helmed by director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
In a recent promotional event for his forthcoming film “Sitaare Zameen Par,” Aamir disclosed that his decision to take on the role was driven solely by his admiration for the renowned Tamil superstar.
Aamir expressed his profound admiration and respect for Rajini sir during a conversation with Zoom. Upon hearing from Lokesh that Rajini would be taking on the leading role, he expressed his desire for me to make a cameo appearance. I stated, ‘Completed.’ I am taking action. “No matter what it is, I’m committed to it.”
This news emerged just a week after the actor initially confirmed his special appearance in the film. In a recent development, it has been revealed that he will be collaborating with Lokesh once more, this time on an ambitious superhero action project set to commence production in 2026.
Aamir shared, “Lokesh and I are collaborating on a film.” This film is a superhero spectacle, delivering a grand-scale action experience. The film is set to commence in the latter part of 2026. Both parties have affixed their signatures to the document. “I am unable to disclose any additional information at this time.”
Aamir is eagerly anticipating the upcoming release of “Sitaare Zameen Par,” a film directed by RS Prasanna, which will hit theatres on June 20. The actor-director is gearing up to embark on his long-cherished “Mahabharata” project and a biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke, the father of Indian cinema, in collaboration with filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani.
In an exciting development, the highly anticipated film “Coolie,” starring the legendary Rajinikanth, is set to hit theatres on August 14. The movie boasts a stellar cast featuring notable names such as Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, and Sathyaraj. Additionally, Pooja Hegde will make a special appearance, while Shruti Haasan is also expected to play a significant role.
