Rapper Jay-Z charged in lawsuit of raping a 13-year-old girl

A revised lawsuit submitted in federal court on Sunday claims that rap mogul Jay-Z, alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs, sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl at a party in 2000.

Jay-Z took to social media to refute the allegations, labelling the lawsuit as a “blackmail attempt” orchestrated by the plaintiff’s attorney. Attorneys representing Jay-Z have yet to respond to a request for comment.

Initially filed in October in the Southern District of New York, the lawsuit did not include Jay-Z as a defendant. However, the amended complaint reveals that Jay-Z was called “Celebrity A” in the original filing.

Combs refuted all allegations against him in October, including the most recent claim. The individual is presently incarcerated on federal charges related to sex trafficking, to which he has entered a plea of not guilty.

A lawsuit has been filed claiming that an unnamed girl was drugged and raped by Jay-Z and Combs during a party hosted by Combs after the MTV Music Awards in 2000, which took place in New York.

Tony Buzbee, the Texas attorney representing the plaintiff in the lawsuit filed on Sunday, has initiated a minimum of 20 civil lawsuits against Combs, alleging instances of sexual misconduct.

Buzbee stated in an email to Reuters that the Jay-Z lawsuit “speaks for itself.”

Buzbee stated, “This is a grave matter that will be litigated in court.”

In his revised lawsuit, Buzbee claims that his legal firm had earlier dispatched a letter to Jay-Z requesting mediation for a potential settlement.

According to the lawsuit, Jay-Z reacted to the correspondence by initiating legal action against Buzbee and allegedly “orchestrating a conspiracy of harassment” directed at Buzbee and other attorneys in his firm. The lawyer contends that this was an intimidation strategy intended to silence his client.

Buzbee stated in a social media post that the alleged rape victim he represents “never demanded a penny” from Jay-Z, adding that “she only sought a confidential mediation.”

Last week, Buzbee initiated legal action against the law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, which provides representation for Combs and Jay-Z. The lawsuit alleges that the firm’s attorneys engaged in harassment directed at Buzbee’s colleagues, clients, and family members.
