Camila Cabello is set to return to the big screen, as Warner Bros has revealed her involvement in the cast of “Cut Off,” a new comedy directed by Jonah Hill, who will also co-star with Kristen Wiig.
Langston Kerman, renowned for his performance in “Abbott Elementary,” has also been part of the group. “Cut Off,” authored by Hill and Ezra Woods, chronicles the plight of two affluent siblings, depicted by Hill and Wiig, who are abruptly stripped of their parents’ wealth. Seasoned actors Nathan Lane and Bette Midler will portray the parents.
The roles of Cabello and Kerman are currently undisclosed, but the film is set to premiere in theatres on July 17, 2026. Filming is presently in progress in California, with Hill co-producing alongside Matt Dines and Ali Goodwin for Strong Bay, as reported by Deadline.
Cabello previously portrayed the leading role in “Cinderella,” featured in Chiwetel Ejiofor’s “Rob Peace,” and provided her voice for “Trolls Band Together.” The versatile performer has expressed her passion for performance, stating that she relishes “almost acting when I’m singing.”
Kerman has recently premiered his Netflix stand-up special “Bad Poetry,” directed by John Mulaney. He has also featured in “The Boys,” “Abbott Elementary,” and Peacock’s “Bust Down.”
