Ronaldo legacy continues son joins Portugal U-15 national team 

Cristiano Ronaldo’s eldest son has received his first call-up to the Portugal Under-15s squad. 

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, aged 14, is in Saudi Arabia with his father, who made headlines by signing with Al-Nassr in December 2022 for the Pro League club. 

Ronaldo, the iconic Portuguese footballer, 40, shared a heartfelt moment on social media. He posted a picture of his son’s name on the national team squad list, accompanying the image with the touching message, “Proud of you, son.” 

Ronaldo Jr. has received a call-up for a youth tournament in Croatia from May 13 to 18. The Portuguese. Hem is slated to compete against Japan, Greece, and England during the event. 

A player who has claimed the prestigious Ballon d’Or award five times, Ronaldo Sr. continues to represent Portugal on the international stage. He has netted an impressive 136 goals for his nation, setting a world record in men’s football. 

At 40, he led Portugal to their inaugural major title at Euro 2016, yet was forced to endure the main final from the sidelines due to an injury sustained in the 25th minute.  

In 2019, Ronaldo played a pivotal role in guiding his national team to victory in the Nations League, securing the title for his country. 

Ronaldo found the net in March but failed to convert a penalty as Portugal secured a thrilling victory over Denmark, advancing to the Nations League semi-finals.  

The former Manchester United striker is also the father of four additional children: twins Eva and Mateo, both 7, Alana Martina, also 7, and Bella, who is 3. 

Ronaldo Jr. has made notable strides in his young career, showcasing his talent and potential on various platforms. Impressive performances and a growing reputation in sports have marked his journey thus far. 

Ronaldo Jr’s youth career has unfolded alongside his father’s global journey, showcasing his talents in the academies of Real Madrid, Juventus, Manchester United, and Al-Nassr. 

According to reports, he netted 58 goals in a single season while playing for the renowned Italian club Juventus. 

During Cristiano Ronaldo‘s second tenure at Manchester United, he shared the pitch with Kai Rooney, the son of football legend Wayne Rooney, in the club’s youth academy. 

Footage of the teenager mimicking Ronaldo Sr’s famous ‘Siu’ celebration during his time with Al-Nassr has taken the internet by storm. 

Ronaldo Jr. has received a call-up to represent Portugal’s under-15 team in the upcoming tournament. However, he is also eligible to play for the United States, his country of birth, and Spain, thanks to his residency during his father’s tenure with Real Madrid.
